Terms & Conditions
In registering for the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021, delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors agree to the following Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) terms and conditions:
Your contact details will be used for the purpose of conducting the conference and will be made available to other delegates; PHAA, event organisers, event partners; EventsAIR, the company that hosts the on-line registration facility and sponsors; and parties associated with related events.
Should you not wish for your details to be used for these purposes, please indicate contact the Events Team, by emailing.
Photography and Recording
I irrevocably authorise and grant PHAA the right to:
record me (picture and voice) on photographs, film and/or video tape, for audio and visual production. (the Recording)
edit the Recording into a photo gallery / short film / webinar (which may include other recordings and material);
use my name and likeness, voice biographic or other information concerning me; and
screen or place online (including on social media) the Recording.
I hereby release PHAA from any infringement or violation of personal and/or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of the recording.
I acknowledge that PHAA owns and shall own all rights, title and interest (including copyright) in the Recording.
I further acknowledge that PHAA is not obliged to use the Recording.
I warrant that I have full power to enter into this Release and that the terms of this Release do not in any way conflict with any existing commitment on my part.
I understand I will receive no monies for this Recording.
While under no obligation to do so, the PHAA will consider any reasonable request not to use or to stop using a particular Recording. Such requests should be made in writing to the PHAA Events Team, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Should you not wish to grant PHAA these rights, please contact prior to Sunday 3 October 2021.
Fees and Payments
Payment to attend the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021 must be made in accordance with the following conditions unless otherwise agreed with the PHAA.
Whichever comes first:
Within 14 days of receiving the tax invoice;
Prior to the end of earlybird, if booking at the earlybird rate; or
10 business days prior to the conference start date
The organisers reserve right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 14 days from date of tax invoice being sent.
All presenters must register and pay the conference registration fee to be included in the conference program.
All registrations received after Wednesday 20 October 2021 must be paid in full by credit card only, no tax invoices are able to be issued for payment.
If payment is not received prior to the Conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card only.
PHAA will not be held liable, nor will a refund be optional if delegates, sponsors, speakers or exhibitors are unable to access, connect or have difficulty with internet connection, sound or visuals when participating in the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021. PHAA will endeavour to provide information on how to access the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021, however delegates acknowledge that PHAA is not responsible for their IT connection or any issues caused by settings on devices used to access the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021, and delegates will endeavour to solve these issues with advice from their organisations IT support/suppliers of the devices they are using, and further acknowledge that PHAA is not required to provide IT support services in association with the Conference.
Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected.
Should, for any reason outside the control of PHAA, the speakers change or the event be cancelled, PHAA will endeavour to reschedule where possible. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold PHAA harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. PHAA does not accept responsibility for, and the presenters and authors indemnifies PHAA against, any costs or charges incurred by the presenters and authors in the process of participating in the virtual Justice Health Conference 2021. This agreement is subject to the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and agreement to these terms and conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.
All cancellations must be notified to the Events Team at PHAA in writing by emailing at email@example.com before the cancellation can be processed.
Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from PHAA. If the cancellation is not received in writing, the registration will not be cancelled and full registration will still be payable.
Cancellations received in writing to PHAA, on or before Sunday 3 October 2021 will incur a $50 administration fee.
Cancellations received after AEST 11:59 PM on Sunday 3 October 2021 are subject to 100% cancellation fee and will not be refunded. Please note; non-payment does not constitute as a cancellation. No tentative bookings will be accepted.
Please note: No refunds will be given after Sunday 3 October 2021; however, substitutes are welcome. PHAA must be advised of substitutes by Sunday 24 October 2021. No shared registrations will be accepted.PHAA reserves the right to refuse access to any delegate/s that have not paid in full for their registration fees.
